Partner Seeds Co., Ltd., breeding specialist for high value watermelons, was founded in 2011 by Dr. Yongjae Kim who has more than 20 years watermelon breeding experience in multinational and local seed companies.

Partner Seeds have been supplying high value watermelon seeds, such as seedless watermelon, very less-seeded watermelon, micro-seeded watermelon and several disease resistant watermelon varieties to several Western countries and Asian countries.

Partner Seeds has very advanced watermelon breeding programs for high value watermelon, using many molecular markers and shuttle breeding system.

Main breeding station is located in Kimje-city, Korea and the company also has research station in Khonkaen, Thailand.

Representative varieties include PMR Ijoeun, Ssijeogeun, Dalkomi Mini, and Dalimi, and we are developing varieties with high added-value traits.

As awards, received a citation for contribution to the development of the seed industry in 2015, selected as one of the top 10 field-oriented R&D achievements in 2019, and listed in the Golden Seed Project's best case study book. Received a citation from the Agricultural Technology Commercialization Foundation in 2021, and ‘C7419’ cultivar submitted to All-America Selections in 2021 were selected as excellent varieties in the Mountain/Southwest and West/Northwest regions, and ‘PMR I Joeun’(Watermelon) was selected as the presidential award at the 18th Korea Excellent Variety Awards in 2022.
