Gochu and Yukjong Co., Ltd. has accumulated extensive experience and technology in traditional breeding, molecular breeding, and plant pathology, and after more than a decade of research, began developing and distributing the world’s first anthracnose-resistant varieties, “AR Legend” and “AR Jijon,” in 2012. In addition, it is developing commercially valuable male sterility molecular markers and disease resistance molecular markers to control pepper anthracnose, CMV, and TSWV, and is participating in major national research projects. Its representative varieties include “AR Anthracnose Doctor,” “Kaltan Doctor,” “Maeun Kaltan,” and “Kaltan Seven,” and it has registered patents related to variety research. In 2018, it received the Minister of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs Award for Excellent Variety of the Republic of Korea for “AR Anthracnose Doctor.”
